For those of you who have next-gen consoles how many of you will consider going online, and why or why not? Or if you're already online with your Dreamcast your input would be wecome as well.
Personally, it depends on the game and the price of going online. I have a PS2 and FFXI and THPS3 both look like they'll be awesome online but otherwise there haven't been any others that look all that promising. Also, price is a factor; if it costs me $30 for a modem+peripherals thats one thing, but I won't be spending $15 a month just to play a couple games.

According to reports from Nintendo, Inc., the GameCube will feature online support, however their plans for online gaming are yet to be released. As far as I know, the only game to feature online support for GameCube is Phantasy Star Online. In a recent report from IGN, Sega announced that its SegaNet service would be availble for a flat $9.95 per month. That makes gaming for DreamCast users a lot more affordable. As far as the Xbox goes, you'll need someone else's input. All I know is that I plan to get PSO Ver. 2 when it's released on the GameCube, but I still want to wait until I find out what plans are being made for online gaming before I purchase the necessary equipment.
