I just got the game (on the same day I got the GameCube today. It's realease date....), and in the back of the booklet, there is a mistake. On the page where it descirbes the Airspeeder, it should have a picture of the airspeeder, right? Well, it has a picture of an A-Wing. I wonder if Lucas Arts will relize what they have done and fix it... if they do think the origianl games that came with the booklets might be worth a little more? Since it has a misprint and all? Just a though

How is the game? I've seen a whole lot of screenshots, and absolutely loved the first two (if you count Battle for Naboo), but I haven't actually played the new version. Is the gameplay as impressive as it looks? If so, I might have to hide out in the local Toys'R'Us after closing time ...

Heh, graphics wise, on a scale of 1-10 it's an 11

Gameplay is pretty much like the first two, with some new cool options. I dunno if they have a movie of the targeting scanner, (the orange thing that goes over there eye, as seen on the "death star trench run" in Star Wars.) its cool! It tells you what objects need to be destroyed first, and makes all around targeting a lot easier, if you ever had a problem with it in the first place

And I would camp out at Target, Toys'R'Us inspects there building before they leave, Target doesn't

(/me works at target) Get the cube ASAP and get RS, it's worth it

I got the game with my cube on launch. Haven't played it much though; I've devoted most of my game time to Super Monkey Ball and Golden Sun for my Gameboy Advance. The graphics are increadible, and the gameplay is solid. It's not a great game, just...solid. That's the best word I can come up with for it. It's a lot of fun, but it might be a renter for some people.
In my opinion, though, Super Monkey Ball is the better game. I love it to death.

Yeah, if you played the first two, Rogue Leader isnt that revolutionary, except for wingman commands. The explosions are pretty, though.

The originals weren't incredibly revolutionary either. I just loved them because they were perhaps the most fun games I had ever played.

Well, I didn't have to dish out $200 for a Gamecube, because my little brother won one on Radio Disney. I did, however, pay $65 for Rogue Leader and a memory card, and it was without a doubt worth it. It has the gameplay of RS1, but as it seems to be more based on the original Trilogy's events (Death Star, Hoth, etc.) it's more interesting. It's also the most graphically beautiful game I've ever played. It looks real, is the way to put it.

I want a gamecube and that game. Its all I have wanted for months but I am too broke to buy one. And good luck finding one if you have enough cash. As for the misprint, good. The booklet might be worth a bit more, but only a bit. Its not like a baseball card or anything. At most, it will be as rare as the gold edition of Zelda64-Ocarina of Time. BTW, when is the gamecube Zelda coming out, anybody know?

Well, it depends on what zelda you are talking about. At one point, nintendo was working on a relly cool looking one that looked like zelda: ocarina of time, only 20x better graphics wise. But then they reverted to something they can pump out fast, you can see the preview
here. It still looks fun, but there is no way that it is using the gamecube's full power. Anyway, they say it will come out in america sometime in the year 2002. I am betting once it is 2002 they will then predict what month it wilbe comming out in, then upsh it back 3 more months, since that is how nintendo opporates

UGH! That looks beyond stupid. I saw the earlier preview and loved it and now they try to shovel everyone this crap. I feel slightly betrayed. That other preview was awesome but this on...
Hes a kid, and a cartoon to boot. Great, great, take an awesome idea and then make it stupid as hell. Thanks Nintendo, you just &^#$ed yourself over. I think many people would have bought the other one but not this. And talk of the Gamecube being not for little ones, shot to hell. Great. Now Im pissed.

Ugh. Ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh. Instead of making a game I would play for years, they made a game I would never buy. It looks very thourough and all that, but the cartoon part kills everything. If this were a normal one (non-cartoon) then I could see how it would be a great one. Hopefully all the work they did in the past for this game was not transferred to this because otherwise it may be a year before another Zelda game is released. Damn, not even the gamboy games were this cartoonish. What were they thinking?

They said that they were keeping the other one to produce later. Hence, what I said, they just want something to pump out quickly to keep the Zelda name alive or something... although I agree, I think this game will kill it

Well, the folks at IGN seemed impressed with the new Zelda version. I'll reserve my judgment for when I actually see the game. I'm guessing that the game will still be as great, despite the cartoonish appearance. They seem to have put a whole lot of work into it ...

You guys are lucky! I want a PS2 and a Gamecube but my dad wont let me get them! I probably have about half the money needed to buy a gamecube and my brothers could easily pay the rest. My dad keeps saying: We have enough game systems, even though we only have a mac, an n64, a playstation, and a dreamcast. So far, all the starwars games have been fun as hell! Im kinda pissed off, though. At the local gamestop, I saw a starwars game where u can be the empire, the rebellion, the wookies, the gungans, the trade federation, or the naboo forces. You can build bases and units just like in Starcraft! Only thing is, its only for PC and Windows! I looked at the best buy games and about 5/6 of them were for PC! Is getting a PC worth it? I think it is. I can probably one for my birthday or hannukah cuz my dad is giving each of my brothers a game that THEY picked. Although, he might buy me one of my choice....

Well, I am gonna get a gamecube sometime soon. And I am definatly getting Rogue Leader with it. I played it in EB, and it totally rocks. I am probably gonna get SSX or Tony Hawk 3 with it. I can't wait until the GC version of Resident Evil comes out.

But that won't be out until May.

SSX and TH3, heh. I got stuck with the first one and trashed in the second of TH. Oh well, I seem to never know when to quit at those games. I do plan on getting one of those two because I know of TH's quality, but SSX also seemed very fun (just look at that commercial). I also cant wait for Super Smash Brothers Melee. The first was fun but this one looks totally insane. Its great.

In terms of power and sound, they are all about the same. Xbox has the music options though, and the others don't.

We diss it because it needs to be dissed, but not because it is made by MS, but because it is made by MS. What I mean by that is, it's not the compnay, it's the quality of the companeis product. I've read on several occasions that peoples xbox's have "frozzen", much like there windows products. Only, when an xbox freezes, you cant reset it, oyu have to return it to the store, and get a new one... The quality of ALL there products stinks, and that is why we rag on MS. When MS makes something of high quality, not quantity, THEN I will stop. I doubt it will ever happen though.

I have a golden Ocarina of Time and hologramic Majora's Mask. Fear their worth

BTW, Zelda for the cube will be a bit....different. It wont be the same graphics as the N64 versions. it will have "cartoony" graphics. Sucks, eh?

I agree that Rogue Squadron II is an awesome game, but it doesn't justify dropping $200 off on the cube. It's definitely not the killer app that Halo is for the X-Box. I hate Microsoft just as much as the next guy but right now Halo is the best game out there, with the possible exceptions of MGS 2 and Final Fantasy X. Gamecube needs more third party games, particularly adult games or it will go the way of the N64.

Mike, you are almost right.... At one point when GC was being made, they were wanting to use a G3. And since IBM helped in the making of the G3, Nintendo went to them. While, I wish it did have that powerful of a proccesor, sadly, it does not. Hopefuly they will get it right, and put a G10 in there next system
