...is that lots of games don't work with them. Can someone tell me if there are Macintosh-compatible versions of The Sims™ and SimCity 3k™? If so, where can I get them? Also, I know Age of Empires 2 [has been/will be] ported to Mac- what is the minimum Macintosh version that it will work with (I have OS 9) and [where can I/can I at all] get it?

Thank you in advance for any and all answers.

The Sims is available most anywhere that sells Mac games; I've even seen copies at CompUSA. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding that one.

SimCity 3000 is harder to find, but it's available here.

AOE II for the Mac is available here, among other places. You can search for it at your Mac merchant of choice; you're pretty sure to find it most anywhere you look. I'm pretty sure it'll work in OS 9; it requires 32 MB RAM, a G3, and 200 MB or so disk space. Hope this helped.

Macplay is currently developing Starfleet Command 2 for Mac. It's not the same thing but if Armada interested you, this might also.

I have an iMac, OS 9.0.4, 7.99GB disc space, and 128 RAM. AoE II will work in this, right?

If it doesn't, the mac version sucks It runs on PCs a lot worse than that (and I mean a LOT!)
Doubt it would take 8GB either, being 1 cd and all

I have found a great way to solve the problem of not having lots of games for mac! Next time you get a computer, get a windows but get an emulator for it! They are free and work great! You can install up to OS 9 on the emulators. Then you can basically play any game because most games for OS 10 are also windows so you can play almost any game! This works great for me also because my parents won't let me get a Mac computer because they don't want to have to relearn stuff and also the computers are not 100% back and forth compatable, so this is what I do and its great!

the mac is better than PCs. Although there are more games for PC, who wants tons of rubbish games anyway? Anyway, the pick of the bunch are already on our way. So there tongue.gif

And I'm the queen of England. If you manage to stay here without being banned, you'll have to learn that most people here hate PCs. As well they should.

far as im concerned, the only problem with macs is that they dont come with a two button mouse...
...and they dont have tribes 2 and homeworld cataclysm. damn you, sierra, damn you!!!

I am glad I have a Mac. I live in the same town as the Dell headquarters, so just about everyone has a Dell because they get them dirt cheap. But not me!!!! It's like I'm in some sort of obscure, rebellious cult or something. The only problem is that I can't borrow software from my friends or anything like that. Is there something like Morpheus out there for mac?
