Has anyone seen this new game from Rockstar? Grand Theft Auto III had a great plot and engine to back up the absolutely tasteless backdrop. =) But I don't think (granted: this is based on screenshots and limited info only) that this new game State of Emergency will be worth it's weight in salt. I think the only thing it will succeed at is pissing off an already angry (albeit ignorant) congress.

I actually thought it looked kind of fun. The concept alone makes it seem like something I would want to play. You're right about the angry congress though. Hopefully this won't be the next Night Trap.

I don't know, it seems like a cheap 3D final fight with a controversial backdrop. It has the potential to be fun but I think it will be like five minutes of fun... like Crazy Taxi. The premise is fun, but it's more novelty factor of fun as opposed to truly fun gameplay like MGS 2 or GTA 3.

Yeah, as much as the graphics engine is cool and fun looking, I'm starting to beleive that this title, however fun it may appear to be, may just be a good renter, but that's all. Hopefully Rockstar will do a good job (as always) and include lots of little gamer treats (cheats, unlockable goodness, etc.) Oh yeah, and the gameplay! That better be good or else... /me shakes fist.
