Because I have started playing it lately on my old PowerMac 7600 and I need help on a dungeon quest.

Okay here's the deal im walking around with my nice socereor in the Catacombs and all of a sudden I walk into this room with a Magistrate named Zhar the Mad. This is weird because Magistrates arent supposed to show up until I get to Hell. Now since he dosent start killing me right off go up and talk to him. He gives me a book and tells me to leave. But now I have a quest in my quest book called "Zhar the Mad." I tried talking to all the NPCs in town but none of them tell me anything about him. Can any of you help?

As a matter of fact, I booted up Diablo I last night at 3:00 AM.....

I haven't seen that quest. I actually haven't played D1 much. What happens when you click on the quest info for it in your quest log screen? It should bring up whatever conversation you had that told you what to do.

Yeah when I did that it just replayed the talk I had with him here is what he says: "What, why are you here? All these interuptions are driving me insane, here take this and leave me to my work." Then if you click on his bookcase he says "Your curiosity will be the death of you" and then he kills me. I have no idea how to kill him I have tried everything lightning, fire, hiting him over the head... what else can I do?

I played that game. I believe you get a nice bow and shoot him full of Arrows, give it a shot.

As a side note, I was just playing D1 with some of the people on these boards a couple days ago. Damn fun. My character is damn fun.

Level 29, maxed on everything.

Except the teleport spell.

I have a level 24 Sorceror with a tone of stuff (not all legit). The only bad thing about D1 is the large ammount of hackers and PKs. If any of you guys are interested post your character names here and we can get together for some major demon killing

My Sorceror is named "Ardeneh" (does anyone besides me recognize that name?) and the Warrior that i just started yesterday is named "Mewick" (from the same book).

I play mostly on US west.

I'm "theKestrel".

I have never hacked my character -- it was completely and totally real up until I was past level 26. Then my brother told me about the replicate bug, and I took advantage of it in a decent number of instances.

However, I would like to note -- I didn't have internet access back in those days. If you would believe it, I played singly on Appletalk to build up my character. It can be nasty stuff when you go too deep and lose your armor when playing by yourself...

(I played with my bro over modem, that's why I cared about multiplayer at all)

None of the stuff on my charachter is hacked, but I have two duped rings and a duped amulet (Dragons ring of the Zodiac, Obsidion Ring of the Zodiac and Obsidian Amulet of the Zodiac). Someone gave me a Dreamflage armour that I am pretty sure is hacked, so i think as soon as i find some decent armour in Hell ill switch to it.

Alright now im angry. I've had Diablo for a few moths now and have delt with the PKs/hackers and such pretty well during that time, but last night i got PKd three times and I want revenge. Since a Legit player has litle chance of defeating a hacker I think ill start a hacked character. So, does anyone know of any good hacks/trainers that will work on Macs?

Ive been playing DIablo 2 a LOT on closed b.net (Us-West)
i have a lvl 92 barb or so...
and some lvl 80 characters... quite fun
