I truthfully do not know, but I must say, d2x gets too boring too quickly for me to like it enough. For me it is probably, ummm, Ninja Burger!!!!!! yes, that wonderful game.

Diablo 2:LoD is da bomb! It is about the best game I have played! My vote goes to Diablo. Not to offend spamguy, but ive played myst 1 and 2 and they sucked. True, there are lots of puzzles and stuff, but all you do is turn around, go forward, solve puzzles, and do other stuff like that. And Barbie! Are you guys kidding or something? Barbie is the dumbest thing ever invented. I'd rather like pokemon than barbie and pokemon sucks too. I mean, who wants to pay good money to buy plastic dolls so you can play with them. Go Diablo!

If you're looking to do stuff like beat up Atrus with a lead pipe, this ain't your game. Myst III has absolutely stunning graphics. Its intention is to bring you into its fantasy world, and I think it succeeds quite well.

Don't remember if it's new this year, but Exile (Of that whole Myst series) was pretty cool. I'm one of those mystery/problem solving people so it's right up my alley.

2002 best game for Mac and PC will be a toss up between EV Nova and WarCraft 3, with EVN slightly in the lead if not more. For Gamecube it'll be the new Zelda, Mario Sunshine, Perfect Dark Zero, or something LOTR based which they claim to do. PS I don't know and XBox I don't care an ounce about!

I have to say the best game was Gran Turismo A-Spec 3. I spent hours and hours playing it, and I still do. Morale of the game: Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak goes really fast (300+)

A close one right behind it is Dynasty Warriors 3. I still haven't put that down, either.

There was no tom bombadil, where did the drug user go? where?
The elves sucked, what happened to emotions?
And in moria, what was that? Yes the balrog looked cool, and the troll looked awesome, but it got boring, too long
And most importantly, what happened to the cleaving of boromir's horn? the most powerful(in my opinion) symbol in the book? where did that go?

Dude,you should lose like all your karma just for saying that. Lotr was the best movie I ever saw. First of all,they took out Tom Bombadil and the cleaving of Boromirs horn because the movie was too long with them in. Second, if you think the elves had no emotions,look at Elrond when Merry and Pippin come into the secret meeting. He looks angry and surprised. what drug user? There arent any drug users. The best part was the beggining where the two armies battled cuz the elves kicked ass. And Moria....That was my second favorite part! The cave troll and the Balrog kicked ass. As to the main topic:I'd say its between warcraft 3 and diablo2:LOD. Sorry to EVN,but Blizzard games are just the best games out there.

I gotta Agree LOTR was the best movie I've ever seen! The elves were a little blah cause of Mr. Smith who hasn't left the Matrix yet! They did leave out some parts, but it was incredible since it was a book made into a movie, and they usually bomb! Also Warcraft 3 hasn't came out yet and Diablo 2 I have to say was one large click fest, you'll all see sooner or latter! My vote goes to Rogue Squadron for Gamecube, Can't say for computer cause I'm devoting 2 years too EV Nova, PS2 was MGS2, PS1 was MGS, DreamCast was Sega Marine Fishing, I love this Game, and N64 was Majora's Mask, once you got into it, it was Awesome though not as good as Ocarina of Time! I know some of these games are old, but there just still so incredibly good, for example MGS this game is Awesome and has leftme with Solid Snakes hair cut and a notion that there will be a Game where Solid Snake and Awesome Characters will be left with the ultimate problem, House Life!

Well, since no one has mentioned it yet I'd have to vote for Baldur's Gate 2. It's one of the best RPGs I've played in a long time. It also has a lot of replayability. D2's expansion is a fun mouse button smashing romp, but BG 2 beats it in my opinion.

Gosh, this is a good question... I haven't seriously played any games in so long. None of my favorite games came out this year... so hmmm.

To be honest, the game I was most excited about coming out this year was Fantasofts New Centurions. I haven't had a chance to play it yet, but that will probably end up being it. I also hear so many good things about Baldurs Gate II that I really want to try my hand at it. Number one looked like a ton of fun, and this seems to be the superior in every way.
Myth III didn't come out in 2001.

word up, brother! that's what im talking about! that game is barrels of fun and has more replay value than a barrel of monkeys. or tetris. [flame]if i knew who you were, i would blow your crotch off with a shotgun. repeatedly. then i would string you up by your toenails and kick you in the face with my steel-toed boots every morning, and call in my two friends to go to work on you with pliers and a blowtorch. that is the best movie ever made. moria was the best scene in the whole movie--while it was long, it was definitely NOT boring and not too long. elves with no emotions? bull****! see above(forget who posted it). sure there was no tom bombadil, but the fact that the movie was already 3 hours long means something needs to be taken out, and tom bombadil is probably the least crucial part to the story. there was no battle with the ngaurhoth(for the un-middle earth educated, that means "werewolves") either, but you didn't mention that!
and boromir's horn... you said what? symbol? SYMBOL? SYMBOL?!?! IT IS A ****ING LEGEND/MYTH STORY!!!!!!!!!!! THERE IS NO ****ING SYMBOLISM!!!! NONE! YOU HEAR ME!!! NONE!!
