Hi,

I've been debating whether to post this at all - the procedure to get this working is quite hellish. However...

If you go to www.faldara.co.uk/METAL/METAL.html you'll find my port of Maelstrom to METAL, a freeware Macintosh BASIC. To run it you need to download METAL (www.iit.edu/~sarimar/GDS/metal.html) and also you'll need to follow some instructions to get the graphics working - I'm not allowed to distibute the Maelstrom graphics, so you need to convert an original Maelstrom Sprites file to something METAL can use. In the instructions I tell you how to do this...

This is really just for people interested in BASIC programming, etc. There aren't any new features (and some are in fact missing) so don't expect anything amazing.

It's basically not worth the effort unless you want to see Maelstrom in BASIC - which is quite cool, I think...

BTW, if you're wandering about the legality of this, Andrew's OK with it all.
