Does anyone here play the popular MUD Materia Magica? Possibly the best and biggest MUD on the internet in my humble opinion. It's easy to begin, with tons of newbie help, but the game expands tremendously. Over eight million areas to explore, many continents, with tons of great features such as weather, complex combat system, a compass in each room displaying exits, dark rooms, locked/unlocked doors, patches for sound effects using certain clients, and so much more. There has been nothing but good words and reviews about this MUD, and it was formerly number one at topmudsites.com.

My favorite MUD is Discworld. www.discworld.imaginary.com It's very active but not so big that you don't get to know people. Pretty laid back too. I've been too busy to play for the last couple of months, but am looking forward to getting back in it this summer.
