Full Version: A "secret"/"hidden" game on the Marathon CD

I just remembered, When my school bought a PowerMac 6100/66 waaay back, it came bundled with Marathon (1). The CD, I found out, contained a set of secret folders (hidden/invisible). Within them is some sort of cross between marathon and pathways into darkness. I don't think it was ever released (as in sold), but it's a fun game. Anyone found that game, and remember it's name? (I haven't got the CD, the headmaster threw it away because he did not like violent games )

You should've tried to salvage the CD, if the trash hadn't been taken away before you found out. Sounds like it was a cool game.

I think it was an early Marathon beta- it's also on the Marathon trilogy CD- but it's as buggy as hell. I'll try your question on the Marathon discussion boards (www.marathon.org/forums) and see what comes up...

I tried. He broke it physically before throwing it away, so after that, there was nothing to do

Yeah, there are a bunch of Marathon betas on the Trilogy CD... Also, if anyone has the Trilogy CD, there's a secret movie in the Gnop folder -- basically, the Bungie guys sitting round, talking about The Shaft, and playing Bolo .
