Dr Tall
I haven't heard much about it, will it be for Mac?

It kicks butt. Its pretty much the same as old UT plus top-o-the-line graphics and some new gameplay types and altered weapons.
The mac version has not yet been annouced, hopefully there will be one. Lemme rephrase that: the developers should hope there is one, if they like to remain on this plane.

Check it out for yourself.

Oddly enough, a lot of the UT03 screenshots I look at don't compare to some of the shots I see for Unreal 2. Unreal 2 has better looking textures and character design in the screenshots on the website. Probably doesn't matter though, I probably won't have a machine to run either of them.

Unreal 2 isnt so much game based, as a test of how good one can possibly make the graphics and engine in a game. If UT2k3 were to have graphics like that, netplay would be near impossible.

Don't go to school to learn that 2+2=4. If you do you're missing the point. Go to school to learn how to add, then figure out that 2+2=4.

MacPlay did the port for the original Tourney. You can bet your bottom dollar they'll be the ones to do it again.

Looks cool, but I'm not sure I'll have what it takes to play it (a good enough computer that is).

Actually, wasn't it Westlake that ported UT? But I agree they won't pass up an opportunity to port this version as well.

I believe that MacSoft (a publisher) contracted Westlake (primarily a porting house) to do the actual bit pushing involved in getting the game to work for Mac. Whoever gets the rights for upcoming Unreal titles, I would be willing to bet that they also contract Westlake, given their experience with previous incarnations of the engine.
