Load this save and just end the turn. Does it crash? Or does it not? I've been trying to nail this down for Brad Oliver at Westlake and it's repeatable on my machine but he hasn't been able to get it crashing on his. I've reinstalled Civ3 and yet it still crashes, so something's up....

I loaded it and played it for a few turns on my Civ3 vers 1.17g, and it didn't crash. I can't think of anything that would cause the game to crash so early on during game play.

It's a virus, isn't it? Or worse. Just admit it, it's some insidious little program that will burrow itself into the vitals of my computer and then transmit all my credit card information back to you. Well, I'm not doing it! You can't trick me.

Okay, I did. And, nothing happened.

X.i.IV, and I haven't tried it under X.i.V yet.

Well in the first post I played it under 10.1.4. And, since I'm using OS 9 at the moment, I tested it out and worked fined in 9.2.2. I've had Civ3 randomely crash in OS X, haven't really played in in OS9. The only repeatable crash I had with it was fixed when I updated Civ3 to 1.17g.

Odd. It's 100% repeatable on my machine with Civ3 1.17g under 10.1.4 and 10.1.5.

Civ3 Mac 1.21f open beta.

And magically through no intent of his own, Brad fixed my bug.
