I'm sure you've heard of EVE, right? It's not out yet, but it's getting there. If you haven't heard of it visit
http://www.eve-online.com There are some new screenshots
hereIt's a little like an online multiplayer 3D EV from what I've heard.

why? this is a legitimate multiplayer game, that seems to have the basic idea of EV behind it.
I've got access to PCs, and I wish it was for Mac, but I can deal.

if its PC only, why bring it to a webboard dominated by macs?
Yes, this does look quite decent. You can see quite a few similarities between this and all 3 EV games. The polaris and the Jove are probably the best example of this.
Overall looks like a fairly solid game and if it were for a mac I would check it out and most likely love it. Oh well.

Sheeesh, why dont they just call it EV-online, then they wouldnt have to worry about people saying "the only thing original about EVE is the second E". And Im very interested in the way they intend to make this game hold up to the standards they've set for it.

in any account, I didnt see anything about the game that said it was PC-only. It said only one thing about requirements and it was that you had to have a GeForce 256 card or better.

I would also want it to be for macs, I could find have access to a PC, but it is a hassle. I "brought it to these boards" because I know there are a lot of people here who have access to a PC or are running Ambrosia games on an emulator. They would probably be very interested, seeing as many of them love EV. I don't know for sure that it is for PC.
Actually, I think you are right, it might not be for any specified computer type. I just thought Divals had seen something else on it that I missed.

It looks amazing, and should, if as someone said keep the standards up be a really good game. Well I'm glad it was brought to the boards as I'm getting a nice 2.2GHz PC very soon so I can't wait for it. being able to play a 3D version of Ev (Sort of)

There is another Massive multiplayer EV-ish game
hereIt's called Earth And Beyond. Somewhere between EV and Planetarion.
It is graphical, though. And quite 3D. I signed up for betatesting, and got in. But they haven't started hase 7 yet, so I haven't seen the game in action

What a game! I was in awe over the screenshots, and I wanted more so I read the FAQ, and began drooling over the game, thinking of endless possibilities. I clicked on the Beta Test link, went to the application, and the first word I see is "Pentium".
