I've read all of the reviews for stronghold, and it looks like a great game. I was wondering if any of you had played it and what you thought of it before I buy it.

Stronghold is a great game but unfortunately the campaigns don't take long to beat. I think I beat them all on medium in less than 20 hours playing time. However, when I tried hard it became almost impossible to beat the levels very quickly. The multiplayer should be lots of fun but I have not played that. Also the campaign editor is pretty good so through that the replayability can be pretty good. So overall I would wait to see if they port the expansion and would probably get that.

Actually I think a little less than 20 hours to beat a game is just perfect.
