You people are never on. Well except for Desert Fox.
Oh and DF: That strategy with chimeras and hippogryphs is actually not unique at all, I had to face it 2 more times. Its pretty much the standard back up if huntresses fail. Its an almost unstoppable strategy, much much more devastating than huntresses if you ask me, but im undead, and despite what people say in theory, undead dont have air power.
Athough, and interesting thought is that one should always build 3-4 light air units (gyros, wyverns, gargoyles, hippogryph riders) and attack their peons with those at the same time as your normal attack. It really makes em scream . I think im going to start rushing with undead in team games, it seems that when everyone else has like 3 guys, I can get 7 and a hero...

edit: heh im not supposed to post strategy here, but since the original purpose of this topic is pretty much dead, im killing whats left of it and posting strategy, others could do likewise...

Undead have the best air unit in the game, yet you say they don't have air power? Cast unholy frenzy on a frost wyrm and step back!

oooh even better rush the person while there getting wyrms and upgrading their necros, and they wont have any defence!
See, in theory, undead have the best air, but in practice, both the wyrm and the gargoyle arent worth nearly as much as other races air. Sure you may be able to suprise a newbie with wyrms, but the build time and cost of them is so high, that if you destroy the first wave of wyrms, its all over for the player using them.

about the frost wyrms, a good player can defend themselves just fine while getting frost wyrms, you just need to have a coupla expansions and about 3-6 boneyards. gargoyles also are incredible--they are my favorite air unit in the entire game.

you like gargoyles? How do you deal with their horrid ground damage. I only use 4 of em for killing peons as a distraction while I attack.

with full upgrades, gargoyles ground damage is halfway decent, and they are great for killing enemy workers in any case. they also have more armor than any other UD unit when fully upgraded. also, if my opponent has any air units, hes doomed, gargoyles antiair totally kicks ass. plus, since you can use stone form to heal them up if they get too damaged, you can get a lot of mileage out of 4-6 gargoyles. same thing with ghouls and cannibalize; just keep using it to keep ghouls healthy and 6-8 ghouls can last forever. fully upgraded ghouls are awesome as well.

You get rushed as undead? Haha...

Gargoyle rules anti-air. That is the best anti-air. In regards to frost wyrms... please try using the unholy frenzy. It is alot better than you think. 6 unholy frenzied frost wyrms will annihilate most people, even good-to-moderate players who spend alot of time preparing for it.
