I am worried that this may be anouther great game that I will have to go to my nieghbors house to play! Does any won know if WOWC is coming out dor the mac? or do you know how to contact blizzard to ask them?

Excerpt from WoW FAQ (general):
For what platforms will the game be available?
The game will initially be available for PCs.

Given Blizzards past record on porting games to the Mac, and WarCraftIII's simultaneous release, I think it's very likely that we well be seeing a Mac version sometime in the future... But don't hold your breath.

Blizz has never failed to port a mac game. I think this speaks for itself.

Just to build upon that, Diablo 2, Diablo 2 Expansion Pack, and WarCraft 3 were all simultaneously released for Mac and PC. That right there proves, in my opinion, that Blizzard recognizes the Mac gaming community as a profitable one, so I seriously doubt that we'd be left out in the cold (as I recall, WC3 didn't have Mac information during the early stages of production).

Diablo 2 wasn't, at least not here. Its probably that the cheap ass computer stores in texas just bought it for the PC. And yes, blizz never mentions mac development. Maybe because many of them use macs, and even the beta testing is internally done with Macs.

If I'm not mistaken, Lord of Destruction was Blizzards first simultaneous release, and the original version of Diablo2 was just very close... I'm probably mistaken, though.

not quite, madfax, the first simultaneous release was War3.
Pyro is right, Diablo 2 wasnt quite a simultaneous release, but it was extremely close.
as for the original topic, there is no doubt in my mind that there will be a mac version of WoW. ill probably buy it, but due to everquest(worst game ever) im not too into MMORPGs.

Don't go to school to learn that 2+2=4. If you do you're missing the point. Go to school to learn how to add, then figure out that 2+2=4.

I could've sworn the expansion set was simultaneous... Oh well.

Whoops, my bad, you're right, it wasn't a simultaneous release for Diablo 2 (but it was for the expansion). I got confused because a co-worker at the time got Diablo 2 and brought in the manual and it listed the Mac system requirements and troubleshooting information next to the PC stuff (heh, but it was a point or so larger than the PC one... I always find that amusing).

Sorry to throw some confusion there in the mix.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, guys, but I remember the WoW FAQs to say that they're not developing a Mac version yet.

So far, every game Blizzard has ever created has been cross-platform from the beginning. They never had to port them to Mac, because they were always compatible. I don't think you have to worry at all.

Diablo 2 came out a month later for Macs than PCs, which considering the big delay for their Mac versions of earlier games, was rather good news. The expansion CDs are hybrid so they had better have been released simultaneously.
