Anyone know of any?

I'm not looking for the 18-wheeler racing games, but a sim game. Like, taking loads to places n' stuff like that. Maybe with the occasional jackass that wants a race.

I doubt there's such a game 'cause it'd take a super-computer to be able to handle the expanse of a country, much less a state.

So, anyone know of a similar game for PS2 or Mac? Thanks.

I've never heard of a game like that and I doubt such a game exists. I know there are 18-wheeler games that are just racing but I don't think there are any like what you describe.

X-Plane has pretty much the whole world mapped out. It's much lower res than you'd want a driving game, but with a driving game you could just stick whith the road areas. No offroad 18-wheeler racing=)

HA HA!! My wealth of useless knowledge shines through again!

There is an 18 wheeler sim game for the dreamcast by the name of American Trucker or something like that...you haul cargo, get into fights (because we all know that truckers are violent antagonists ), and the like...

but none that I know of for PS2 or Mac...but I will look, oh yes....

-edit- I found one, but it's for PC......

I can't believe there's actually a game like that.

Ahem. My dad was a trucker for four years and is preparing to purchase his own truck some time in November to go back out again...

I'll check out American Trucker and maybe buy a DC.

Now that you mention it, I remember that we had an old game like that up here as well, called Crosscountry Canada ..I remember that you had to use text-based game commands (like typing "w" for west and such)...

here's a link for info on the canadian and us versions

it's aimed towarsd a younger crow, so I don't know if it would be of any worth to anyone older than 6, but hey, give it a shot, you never know.

<edit> here's a link to the DC game I was talking about.
