What do people mean when they say "rush me"?

Thank you and goodnight.

They mean they want to be sped through the Acts and Difficulty Levels by a higher level character, or "Rushed" through the game. Usually people just want to get to Hell Cows.

Ah, the good old rush...were it not for the few nice guys on b.net, my Pally would still be at level 6 in Act II. God bless their hearts. But I only got rushed until the beginning of Act IV on Normal because my rusher had to leave

I hate people who leech...they defeat the whole purpose of the gaem. Maybe that's just me though, I actually like to play the game, but...
and yes, rushing means that they beat all the bosses for you (competing the important quests of acts 1-5) so you can have access to nightmare and hell difficulties

which is dumb, low level characters don't get a big exp boost by playing at higher levels, there are restricions preventing that.

I guess you've never had a level 10-50 character in Hell Cows...

Rushing is lame. It's really annoying when you're playing a game on a high difficulty level and there's some level 17 character who only got there by rushing whining because he dies every ten seconds.

The pitiful fool doesnt know the leech's code. When leeching, walk around OUT of combat, and pick up gold, that is all.

That may be a little too smart for them. Assuming they were dumb enough to want to be rushed, it's not a huge leap to go from there to wanting to participate in combat when they're in way above their heads.

I personally think rushing is just fine. I get all of my chars rushed, unless I really want to take them through the game myself (which I HAVE done, yes). As for leechers in cows.... There's nothing wrong with that, unless they start stealing your item drops. Exp leechers mean more experience for you (more kills = more experience), so I can't complain. It's just the way of battle.net.

As for the experience penalties someone mentioned... that's so false it's painful. I've had a level 6 char in hell cows before.... after the first run, he was level 20. Then ancients for level 25... 3 more cow leeching levels, he was level 40. More ancients, level 47. A few more leeching cows, and he's level 60. From there, hell ancients, and now the char is ready to take on hell cows at level 65. Takes a total of 30-45 minutes.

I'd also just like to point out that a extremely low level necro mancer can triple the damage output of any party members that are using physical damage. One game I had just been rushed and was using amp/CE and a clay golem for a tank...It's extremely helpful and I'm damn good at it too :-)

Never got rushed. I enjoy the whole game, not just parts of it.
