I have Warcraft III (I've been a fan ever since the first) and I'm playing it through, doing the campaigns. I like the plot so far. Haven't yet played as Night Elves seeing as their campaign is the final chapter, but they keep sounding cooler and cooler.
The humans are actually cool! I HATED playing as the humans in Warcraft II, they just....
bugged me, I guess....(and the peasants looked like they had no heads for crying out loud didn't anyone NOTICE???) but in Warcraft III, the humans are great fun to play.
The undead.....at first I thought, OK, no big deal, so what, Blizzard's gone goth. But whoa....I LOVE playing these guys.
Orcs I just love because I've always loved 'em. All the way back to Warcraft I when they were the "Ultimate Evil" or something....and then in Warcraft II when they were cute-ified...and now they REALLY are what Orcs oughtta be.
And now, the units are more fun than EVER to annoy. Some of my favorites:
Mortar Team (two senile old dwarves): "And that's how baby dwarves are made." "Eeeeuuuugggh!"
Priest: "I have been chosen by the big metal hand in the sky!!!"
Rifleman: "This....is my BOOMSTICK!!!!!"
Mortar Team: "Clearly, Tassadar has failed us! You must NOT!"
Acolyte: "My life for Aiur! uh, I mean..."
Any other good ones come to mind....? I haven't played in a week or two so most of them have left my brain, heh heh...
Some of the units don't even HAVE to be annoyed by repeated clicking....they're funny already. The frigging sorceresses are SO arrogant they just crack me up. And the banshees' morbidly drawn-out "Hi," gets me every time.
By the way, click on a Critter a few thousand times as rapidly as you can.
