It seems to me that a good number of people on these boards play World of Warcraft. Having run into a few people on my server with suspiciously similiar names to a few of the members here, I decided to start this thread.

Yeah, I'm skilling Arms as well. :-)
In fact, most of my points will go into arms, and I doubt I'll put anything in defense... just not worthwhile, since I don't want to be a tank, although I can also do that when needed.
And you did have 4 more months to level it than I did. Pretty much a letdown from blizzard not being able to release US and EU at the same time, ESPECIALLY with all the cockups that happened between EU release and now... and they're still finding new problems.

My good computer is broken so I haven't played for the past week. Can't say I miss it much, I won't sweat the endless ubrs runs I'm not doing. Maybe by the time I get back my guild will all be keyed for onyxia (not like it matters, we don't have 40 60s yet.) I have basically everything I want that isn't from a raid instance anyway.

1. I've found that on end instance bosses such as Baron Rivendare and General Drakkissath, their Mortal Strikes and such tear me to pieces too quickly. Thus I have raised my one handed sword skill and from now on will use a shield and Defensive Stance on end bosses, raising my reduction from 42% to about 61%.
2. Trust me, while you got to play for less time, you got an overall better game. There have been quite a few topics where European players are surprised at the whining on the US forums, but quite frankly, the US players have had to deal with a poor launch, server issues, bugs, lack of endgame content, class balance issues, etc. Over 10% of all characters on the US servers are level 60, with a much smaller amount on the European servers. We've had to deal with far more than you guys have, so be glad that the game you got was quite a bit better. Think of us as guinea pigs.

I'm not at the really high instance levels yet (only level 38 as of this post :/). Better start saving for a horse. Good thing I'm a smith, I can instantly upgrade to plate at 40.
And yes, shields rock. I'm going to get started on sword/shield once I need to tank in instances, up till now there's not much demand in my parties for a real tank.

Actually you can tank just fine in any instance barring MC, Onyxia, UBRS, Stratholme, Scholomance, and BRD with a two hander.
