Activates Hypergates Plug-in for EV Nova 1.0.0 Michael McDonald (mcdonald@cyberus.ca) Remember those dead, inactive hypergates scattered across the Nova galaxy? With this plugin, when you get the access codes from Sigma Shipping, you'll be able to utilize the -entire- hypergate network, rather than the scant few gates scattered around Auroran and Federation space. There have, of course, been a few changes to existing hypergate routes, to accomodate these new nodes.

This is a plug-in for the \"EV Classic for Nova\" total conversion of EV: Nova. Active Flares for EVCN restores the behavior of Decoy Flares to more closely match the original Escape Velocity game. With this plug-in, Decoy Flares are fired by the second trigger and drift slowly through space.

This plugin overrides the standard transparency table resource from Nova Graphics 1 with a much better (IMO) one. I made this because it has always bugged me how awful Vell-Os and some Polaris ships look in 8-bit. They look bad because the standard transparency table that comes with Nova is designed for Alpha-Blending, while engine glows, running lights, and weapon glows are designed for Additive color. So when your Vell-Os Dart accelerates, instead of the glow being added to the base sprite and making it glow brighter, it is merely drawn opaque on top of it. See the picture at http://www.rail.com/peter/images/AdditveVs.jpg for an example of this. My plugin will make Vell-Os ships look (mostly) the way they were supposed to, and Polaris ships' running lights now blend in properly. I would consider this plugin a must for anyone who has to use 8-bit color (like myself). Made by Vaumnou, 5/22/03.

This plugin grants the appropiate fighter bays that were previously blocked out by EV Nova, such as the Rebel Viper, Interceptor Class. Additional variants include the Auroran Phoenix, Frunch'ek Class, Federation Anaconda, Auroran Outfits Detected, Pirate Viper, Missile Variant and many others; including a forum-requested Rebel Thunderhead Bay. The player is allocated the appropiate fighters for which storyline the player has undertaken. Note that this plugin may conflict with various plugins that modify core principles of the game, such as various cheat plugins. Created with MissionComputer, tested on EVN v.1.0.10 on a Macintosh PPC. Contact information is Mk.32 on the forums or email supplied on the plugin splash screen.

Adzara-Lightning 1.1

Version 1.1 of Adzara-Lightning fixes the bug that prevented the player from using the Rebel Lightning Bay. As an old EV: Override veteran, I was overjoyed by EV: Nova. But there were some things that I missed about EVO, one of which was the best fighter in the game: the Adzara. It was unique be relying on shield regeneration rate rather than heavy shielding - it was very easy to get it's shields down to almost nothing, but let it out of your weapon's range for a few seconds and you'd be back to square one. This plug-in modifies the Lightning to fill this role - the shields are cut almost in half, but the regeneration rate is more than enough to make up for it, and I also included a Lightning Bay if you work for the Rebels. After Nova is an abandoned plug-in by JoshTigerheart, dropped because I wasn't morbid enough to keep working on it and also was dumped in favor of the Open Source TC that's currently in the works. This file is far from finished and is not playable. However, some other plug-in developers, especially those wanting to do some sort of degenerated or post-apocalyptic scenario, may find some of the content helpful for ideas. Additionally, if you wish, you may finish the project, see details within the Readme.

This plugin adds one outfit: the Aggressor system, available on Viking. Basically, all it does is make another ship mad at you. This is useful for: -Challenging that big, fat, juicy Manticore that is about to jump out before you can get to it -Luring a nonhostile ship (such as Krane's Valkyrie) away from its slower, heavily armed escorts

This Plug-in strips away the mission bit requirements for all the Outfits in the game. All the Outfits will appear where they normally would, without the need to do the storylines to activate them. You still need to be on good terms with the governments in order to land on the neccesary planets, and you'll need the usual amount of money. This Plug-in should be compatable with any other Plug-in that doesn't change any of the storyline specific Outfits. Created by Darian_TruBlade

i was so fed up with plugs that said "this one lets you buy all the ships" and you can buy like two more than normal, that i went ahead and made a plugin that lest you buy EVERY SINGLE SHIP! the only thing is is that you have to have a bunch of licenses for the fed ones, so i made a seperate plug called License to Life which lets you buy anything. have fun!!! -X'arnor, bladeboy295@yahoo.com

AllGoodBranches 1.0 is a plugin that simply makes sure you always get the favorable branch whenever you don't have direct control over which you get. You'll always get the favorable branch whenever it was intended to be random chance. It does not affect branches that require you to be in a certain place at a certain time (like the Thunderforge branch). Enjoy, and send comments to resc0030@umn.edu.
