EV Nova Target Generator, by David Arthur, provides an easy way to create the 'scan-line' target graphics found in EV Nova from an ordinary colour image. This version is designed for Mac OS X only.

Some missions will tell you to go to a space station or planet but will not give the name or location of the system that contains the planet. If the planet is in a system with a name you don't recognize it can be difficult to determine where you have to go without looking at every system on the map. With Space Object Finder all you have to do is type in the name of the place you want to go and it will tell you the name of every system that has a space object with the name you searched for. Use SpacePort to convert EV and EVO game files into the newer EV Nova format. This program is designed to provide the same functionality as the never-released Port Authority, by w00tware. While the ports come fairly close, I did the best I could to make conversions as near-perfect and easy-to-use as possible. Unfortunately, due to major engine changes between previous EV's and Escape Velocity Nova, you will have to redo a few things by hand... Check the ReadMe for details, moderate plugin experience recommended. This version is an improvement over the 1.1.0 version, with three bug fixes, two of which are fairly major. Any way you look at it, you're going to miss your old pilot file. You know the one: it has that super 31373 ship that took you hours and hours to save up for and equip the way you wanted. If only there were some way to convert you old EV/EVO/Mac pilot file to work with Mac/PC Nova. Well, now you can. Utility only runs on the Mac.

Depending on the choice it will combine the images into a spin, or it will create a spin from one image, then it will ask where to save the new spin. The new spin will be saved as a pict. Can extract mask from transparency and no longer screws up with transparency. This version fixes some problems with the file filter, and adds one or 2 things. I have a permanent fix for all programs stuffed with Stuffit 7! I have just written an AppleScript program that will automatically change the type and creator codes to the correct Nova format! This will work with any file, so be careful! We no longer have to suffer 5 minutes converting it in Resedit! -Written by Gemini14

LaSEr allows you to take rendered images of your ship and its masks, place them in two folders in the same one as LaSEr, and create the graphic, mask, and spïn for them. This makes it ready to convert with EnRLE by w00tware ( http://homepage.mac.com/dr_ralph/ ). The name comes from the LASIK option that also is allowed.
