As far as I know, there is and has been no reference or manual on the subject of using ResEdit for EVO plug-in development. Well, one seems to be here now, doesn't it? This is an Adobe Acrobat PDF file, fully bookmarked, making it useful for both a reference and a manual/tutorial. It gives an introduction to using ResEdit for EV/O plug-in development for the beginner, teaching them every skill they'll need to make a plug-in in ResEdit. This can be used for EV or EVO, though it was written with EVO in mind (A word of warning: don't attempt to use this for writing "real" macintosh programs. It covers plenty for plug-ins, but barely anything for Mac programming. If you attempt it, your computer will die and so will you, when you look upon the charred remnants of your Mac.). The documentation is actually titled "The Plug-in Developer's Guide to ResEdit", but I couldn't fit it in the file name. A copy of ResEdit is included with the documentation. it is a plug-in that makes all the governments in the original game go against each other and it has a cool begining story line. it is done by nate poindexter and edited matthew poindexter. its release date is november 6th 2001. it is version 2.0. it runs only with other plug-ins like (all included with the cheat) christo's evo cheater, dl-redirect 3.pl, ev-or cheater, person's of the evo webboard, quick ride, and supershipevo. the file is called 3.

This cheat allows you to buy any ship (including the ones you shouldn't get) from any shipyard in the EVO galaxy. Read the readme for more detailed stuff.

Meowx Design Studios' EVO : MAGMA is the critically acclaimed EVO plug in that now has over 5000 downloads. MAGMA completely replaces the sounds and graphics from Escape Velocity Override with brand new, realistic ones. Not much is new in this, version 2.0.1 just tying up a few loose ends. v2.0.1 will be MAGMA's final version.

Empire: War Without End for EVO - This is a port of the classic EV plug-in Empire: War Without End to EVO. This was originally released in 1997 by Tim Isles and started the increasingly inaccurately named Empire Trilogy. In the process of converting the plug-in I have fixed a few things here and there so, with any luck, this will be better than the original. The plug-in has been merged with the underlying EV universe so it works as a TC plug-in for EVO. Enjoy!

Incomplete is my aborted attempt at an Escape Velocity Override plug-in. If it's not done, you may ask, then why in the world am I uploading it? Well, for two reasons: first, as a challenge to anyone who wants to try and complete it, and second as a source of new custom graphics and sounds for use by the EV community. As long as you credit my work, you should feel free to rip the resources in this file to bits and use them in your own plug-ins. They're just going to waste on my hard drive, so use them!
