| | Middle school may be a distant memory, but you can still pull out a binder full of virtual graph paper any time you want, thanks to Ambrosia Software’s SketchFighter 4000 Alpha. Mimicking the look you remember well, the game even features the scratchy-scratchy sound of pen on paper when you enter a new level. In fact, the pen you see on the main menu becomes your nemesis by the end of the game, giving you the chance to answer a question that lingers at the back of every grade-schooler’s mind: What happens when the creation battles the creator?

| | SketchFighter is a retro joy, not only for its bored middle school look and feel, but for its 1980s-style shoot-em-up action. Sure to be a bona fide classic in no time.

| | SketchFighter 4000 Alpha brings a unique look to traditional gameplay, and it's solidly built, too. The system requirements are modest, and the game played smoothly and trouble-free on my Intel iMac. In the end, it doesn't rise above the arcade/action genre, so don't let the unique look pull you in if you're not a fan of this style. But if you've enjoyed Ambrosia's other arcade action games, you'll find SketchFighter to be a triumphant return to form...right down to the title

| | My God! I just downloaded the demo and gameplay is so smooth and it runs so beautifully I had to buy it! This is a great game, and I love it's classic outlay with great interactivity.

| | This looks so frigging awesomely brilliant, I am buying it immediately after seeing the demo page for five seconds. I have a kid who draws spaceships all day. He's going to love this for xmas, and so will I!

| | From the demo, it seems the buzz is well-deserved. Very fun, very unique. This is my first game purchase for the Mac in a few years. It runs like a dream on my new MacBook, too.

| | I've been waiting (and drooling) for this game since it was announced a couple of years ago. Brilliant idea, brilliantly executed--one of the most original games I've ever seen. It's a pleasure to be able to pay for it. Good luck!

| | I used to scribble space fighter games all over my notebooks in the 5th grade. What an awesome use of computing power: emulating graphite on cellulose fibers!

| | Your stuff has consistantly great gameplay, going all the way back to Maelstrom. That's the way to run a business. Good job.

| | Overall, SketchFighter 4000 Alpha should satisfy both casual players who want a game they can enjoy in small 30-minute bursts without too much challenge, and also more experienced gamers wanting a slightly quirky game inspired by old arcades.

| | (In German) 9 out of 10 Play Passport. SketchFighter 4000 Alpha does not invent the category again, but the unusual look of it are worth a second look!

| | One of my favorite movies, was the animated classic, Bambi Meets Godzilla celebrated for it’s stunning story line, beautiful full-colored graphics, and sensitive treatment of the subject matter. Following in that spirit comes Ambrosia’s Sketch Alpha Fighter 2000, which is very cool and probably the most original game we seen in a while.
