Yosemite

Please, I do understand how things can take longer to do than expected. But the frustration I, and many other have over the delays and delays here are tremendous. Can you please provide any information on the status of your work?

I've done the patch repairs you've spoke of but they do not hold. After a period of time, Snapz just stops working as it did when I first installed Yosemite.

I do not feel it is unreasonable for you to provide updates. At a minimum, you can say you are still working on it, that at leasts lets you know you are still alive. Are you still alive?

No, really doesn't work on Yosemite

Andrew posted: "Regarding Snapz failing to work on Yosemite except for the first invocation, this happens if you double-click to save an image or movie. If you hit the Return key instead, it'll work as expected."

Fresh install of 2.5.4 on 10.10.2, press Shift-Cmd-5, drag a selection, press Enter (as I always used to before I uninstalled a couple months ago). Results: (1) no iamge is saved to the desktop. (2) pressing Shift-Cmd-5 again fails to launch SnapzPro. In fact, even double clicking the app in a Finder window does not launch SnapzPro after attempting to snap a shot the first time.

I've loved SnapzPro and have been a licensed user for, I don't know, a decade? More? I wish you luck but at this point need to spend money to buy into another title. Sincerely, good luck!

Yosemite Incompatibility 2

Andrew said on On Nov 18 2014 that an update was in the works. Seems like a long time ago, This now almost 3 months ago.

Did you change your minds and decide to abandon support for Yosemite? Not being able to capture audio any more is a real bummer!

Missing Audio Support

I am an Apple Distinguished Educator and have used Snapz and other Ambrosia software for years. I am now unable to use Snapz Pro for a big presentation I am doing next week. It is unfortunate that audio support for Yosemite has been delayed for so long. At least consider providing a maintenance update to restore this rather basic functionality!

No audio on Yosemite

This is February 2015. There is still no audio capture capability on Yosemite. I love SnapZ and need it desperately for my work, but this is a fatal flaw.

I just had to pay for a new license even though I paid for the software and all I got was the old software and no audio capability.

Please fix this NOW

Thank you

Yosemite and Snapz Pro X

My Snapz Pro app does not work at all with Yosemite. It appears to start for the first call up, but the screen shot does not appear on my desk top as it is supposed to. Would certainly be nice to be able to get some value for the $69 fee paid for this app. Hope the upgrade comes through quickly. This is really poor support for a wonderful app.

Recording audio with Yosemite

I just upgraded to Yosemite and wasn't able to use SnapzPro as I had once before. I performed the mentioned update (from 2013) and it allowed me to capture video and images but no audio. Looking online I uncovered that you can use QuickTime to do a "Screen Recording". The only audio options are "mic" and "line-in" (if you have that on your computer) but I just got a stereo cable and literally plugged in the headphone jack directly to the line in and voila! Audio capture as I had done with SnapzPro but for FREE and working :) good luck!

Yosemite update

So just out of curiosity will the update for this include a fix for lack of any functionality on multiple monitors?

Snapz on Yosemite

We are working on an update for Yosemite that contains other fixes and enhancements as well.

Regarding Snapz failing to work on Yosemite except for the first invocation, this happens if you double-click to save an image or movie.

If you hit the Return key instead, it'll work as expected. Yes, it's a silly bug, and we are fixing that as well. Hang tight folks!
