The Mac platform has been seeing a remarkable resurgence over the past few years, but one thing has been notable by its absence: a decent solitaire game for the Mac! That's why we've decided to bring our popular iPhone and iPad solitaire game Mondo Solitaire to the Mac.
Sure, in the past there was Erik's Ultimate Solitaire, but it's looking a bit dated these days. There are a few Windows-port looking Solitaire games, but nothing that really does the Mac platform justice. We're looking to change that, and we could use your help.
We'd like to sign up an elite core group of motivated beta testers who are interested in helping us bring Mondo Solitaire to the Mac. If you're interested, please send an email:

Subject: Mondo Solitaire for the Mac beta test
You'll need Mac OS X 10.6 or later, and a desire to help us cure the glaring solitaire hole in the Mac platform!
Mondo Solitaire is the king of solitaire games, with 300+ game variants, slick graphics, and a user interface that's been designed especially with the Mac in mind. If you think it's a matter of simply porting the iPhone/iPad version over, let me assure you, it's quite a bit more work than that.

We've had to rewrite a whole raft of code, and we've also spent a significant amount of time rethinking the user interface with the Mac platform in mind.

Lest you think solitaire is old sauce, consider that solitaire is actually the most popular computer game in the world, and variants have been bundled on Windows since Windows 3.0. It's time for Mac users to get their due!

I had Mac way back with creation of the Performa model. I then got a power mac and had it for few years before it died. I can't afford a new Mac, and thus, was stuck on windows computers for many years. I was just given an older eMac. I am upgrading it as best I can, but I am not sure if I will be able to run 10.6+ on it or not as the max memory on the computer is 1gig. (I remember the days when that much seemed like a dream!!) I have found that more users on the Mac forums use 10.4.11 than any other system. Many of us, because we simply can't afford the new hardware.
So, if at all possible, please, consider this great game (I live for card games and own every Hoyle set made for windows) for 10.4 versions of OS X.
IF you do, I would love to beta test. I do beta testing for Atari on some of their games. I also have been part of design teams on some old (1980's and 90's) games doing concept and graphic design. Some shooters, but mostly adventure games.
Thank you for your time reading this,

Re:
Unfortunately Mondo Solitaire will require 10.6 or later to run. Mondo Solitaire leverages some of OS X 10.6's latest features. It would not be trivial to support 10.4 or 10.5 for that matter.
Thank you for you feedback.
