Here at the Ambrosia office, our 12-person in-house staff is more of a family than your usual group of politically-correct suits circling the water cooler. Spending 40 hours a week together of course has its ups and downs, but the guys here have become the band of brothers I never had (and didn't know I wanted!).
That said, when a part of the family moves out of our little house on the corner, it is always bittersweet to see them go. This was the final week in the Ambrosia office for our Cocoa and Web ninja, Steve Streza. Within the next few weeks, Steve will be packing his car, putting his cats into this and driving across the continental US to start fresh in San Francisco, where he will be working at ngmoco on the Plus+ game network.
Steve has been with Ambrosia for almost 2 and a half years, having worked here while still attending the Rochester Institute of Technology. His pet project has been Soundboard, our sound cart emulator and, believe me, blood (mostly the blood of others), sweat (over-caffeinated programmers), and tears (oh! so many of Steve's tears) went into that utility. But now, we bid adieu to our coworker and friend, and all wish him well in his upcoming endeavors.
Steve's plans for the future include rubbing California's mild weather in all our Western New York faces, tweeting from a different time zone, and conquering every last bacon shop in San Francisco.
Best of luck!!
