Ambrosia Software respects your privacy. We do not distribute or reveal our customers' personal information.
What Personal Information does Ambrosia keep if I make a purchase?
We keep a record of what you purchased, when, and how much it cost you. We keep your name and contact details on file, to verify your identity should you contact us regarding a lost License Code.
How about my credit card information?
Our store handles payment processing via a secure gateway provided by TrustCommerce. In our database, we keep an incomplete credit card number, the first 4 digits and the last 4 digits. This is used to identify the card type and to verify queries from customers. The incomplete card number cannot be used to make purchases, at least 8 digits have been removed.
Our interface with TrustCommerce also allows us to see only the first 4 and last 4 digits of your card. We keep in our database a transaction ID which references each sale, so should we need to issue refunds we do not need your card number. Our connection to TrustCommerce is secured via encrypted SSL.
What About Cookies?
A cookie is a piece of data that identifies you as a unique user, it is stored temporarily on your hard drive by your web browser. The cookies we use are very small, only a couple of hundred bytes.
Does Ambrosia share my information with others?
We do not share, sell or distribute any information that we store about our customers to other companies or individuals. Should it be appropriate, we will release your information to law enforcement agencies when requested.
Is my information secure when being transmitted while using your store?
Our store communicates with your browser securely, by encrypting your data by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software. Your billing details, credit card details and other supplied information are all transmitted this way to our online store server.
Your credit card details are then transmitted, via encrypted SSL connection to TrustCommerce to authorize the charge to your card.
