If you're having a problem with a product, or have a question:

1 Read the Frequently Asked Questions pages
We've put together a list of the questions we're asked most frequently (along with the answers, of course). Chances are, the answer to your question can be found quickly in one of our FAQs.
2 Browse our Web Boards
We have a number of active discussion boards where users and staff from Ambrosia can talk amongst each other about our products, ask questions, offer help, etc.
3 Read the documentation
Yes, we know, this sounds haughty, but most Ambrosia products come with rather extensive documentation. Give it a go, you never know, your answer might be in the documentation.
4 Get In Touch with Ambrosia's tech support
When all else fails, our lines of communication are wide open! Get in touch with our tech support staff, and we'll see if we can't sort things out for you.

If you're interested in real-time chat

We have set up an irc server at irc.ambrosia.net that you're welcome to use to talk to other Ambrosia fans, as well as the people who make Ambrosia Software tick. If you're unfamiliar with irc, irchelp.org is a good place to get started.

irc is real-time chat, similar to AOL's chat rooms (in irc terminology, a chat room is a "channel"). Popular channels are available for all of our games: (#nova #pop-pop #coldstone #uplink etc), as well as a general chat channel, #JustChat. Once you are connected to the irc.ambrosia.net irc server, type /list for a full channel list.

We recommend that you use: Snak

If you're interested in our mailing lists: Mailman
Ambrosia Software, Inc. maintains a number of mailing lists. The focus of each list varies, but they all deliver news or discussion to your email box. Below are the mailing lists you can subscribe to, and a brief description of each one:

  • ambrosia_announce - This is a general Ambrosia announcement list -- any time we release a new product or have other Ambrosia-related news to pass along, everyone who subscribes to this list will instantly get the info. Subscribing to this list is the best way to ensure that you know about important product updates & bug fixes, that you get notified immediately when we release a new game or utility, and also are informed of any important Ambrosia-related news and specials

  • at_list - If you would like to be notified when new articles are posted to our company newsletter, The Ambrosia Times, this is the mailing list for you. As soon as we post a new article, you'll receive email telling you a summary of the article that was posted, and the URL to read the full article. Ambrosia Software, Inc. publishes this weblog, entitled The Ambrosia Times, and regularly updates these articles and stories. The "AT" is an interactive electronic newsletter that is meant to serve as an informal method of getting the word out about what Ambrosia is up to as a company. By browsing past and present issues of this newsletter, you'll obtain a wealth of information about our products, from previews of upcoming products to hints and tips about how to use our software effectively.

  • discussion_list - The purpose of this list is to allow people all over the world to discuss Ambrosia-related topics -- anything from game tips to trouble-shooting to Hector's last meal. It's an alternative (or perhaps a supplement) to Ambrosia's web boards; join up and discuss everything Ambrosia with us!

  • press_list - This is a moderated mailing list (meaning that only Ambrosia Software can post to it). Ambrosia provides this list exclusively for the digital and print media. Subscribers of this list will receive Ambrosia press releases and news updates before anyone else.

  • pc_press_list - This is a moderated mailing list (meaning that only Ambrosia Software can post to it). The pc_press_list is the Windows analog of the press_list: it is meant for Windows-oriented digital and print media. Subscribers of this list will receive Ambrosia press releases and news updates before anyone else.

  • distributor_list - This is a moderated mailing list (meaning that only Ambrosia Software can post to it). The purpose of this list is to allow us to easily notify all of our approved distributors of Ambrosia-related information when appropriate.

  • delta_v - The purpose of this list is facilitate the creation of new worlds, missions, ships, weapons, etc. for Escape Velocity. It is NOT a list to talk about the game itself; we suggest you use the Ambrosia web boards for that.

  • pop-pop_tourn - If you would like to be notified about information concerning upcoming pop-pop tournaments, tournament results, etc., this list is for you!
