How are the scores calculated in Barrack?

Last Updated Sep 15, 2005

Here's the breakdown:

- Regular Points:

• For each % of screen turf cleared:

Levels:
1-4 10 points
5-9 20 points
10-14 30 points
15-19 40 points
20-24 50 points ... continues with 10 points added every 5 levels

• Nuke detonation points: 500 points for each detonated ball

• Time bonus: Starts at 3000 points, 100 points added each level

-Over-achiever bonus:
• 100 points for each percentage over 80%
• 1000 points for each percentage over 90%
• 2500 points for each percentage over 95%
• 20000 points for a perfect 100% clearance

- For instance, an 83% clearance would earn 300 points

- A 96% clearance would earn: 1000 points (for the 90%) + 5000 points (for the 95%) + 2500 points (for the 1% above 95) = 8500 points

• Isolation bonus: 100 points for each ball isolated

-Bosco deaths earn bonus points (added to time bonus).
• A REGULAR Bosco death earns 800 bonus points. This is accomplished by isolating Bosco into an area with no enemy balls.

• A GLASS Bosco death earns 2500 points. Trap Bosco in an area as it is cleared by a shattering glass ball.

• A NUCLEAR Bosco death earns 5000 bonus points. This is accomplished by detonating a nuke ball while Bosco is swimming through the area. Takes really good timing (or luck), but watch the clock. You may waste more time than his head (uhh.. fin) is worth.

Killing Bosco while on an "I keel you!" rampage is worth 10x the normal point value! So nuking Bosco while on a rampage earns 50000 bonus points -- with a x4 multiplier: 200,000 bonus points!
