What happens to a ball when it is nuked? What are the benefits?

Last Updated Sep 15, 2005

When a ball is nuked it disintegrates into subatomic particles. It goes on to a better place where all balls may live in peace among their people. Each nuked ball is worth 500 points. But, the important thing to realize is that the ball is permanently removed from game play. It is a chance to exercise population control -- an art form that plays into the strategy of the game. There is indeed more to nuking than just the extra points.
