Why does Eclipse persist on displaying the graphics and time on the built-in video monitor, even though the menu bar is on the other monitor of my dual monitor setup?

If you have a second monitor hooked into a third party video card, and Eclipse does not use that monitor, you need to make a change in your Monitors control panel. Open up the Monitors control panel. Hold down the option key, and keep it held down. You'll see a smiling Mac. Drag that icon onto the second monitor in the Monitors Control panel.
