Why does my screen go black when Eclipse dims the screen - I have the preferences set to display a graphic?

There are two separate controls that affect what appears on your screen, the Display Settings and the Dimming Settings. If the screen is being dimmed to 0% brightness, the graphic or clock will not be seen. To solve this, raise the dimming percentage above 0 percent.
