How do you fire escorts, or release them from servitude?

As a convenience, your targeting computer will automatically "skip over" your fighters and escorts when you're cycling through the ships in the system by pressing Target Select (default - tab) key. However, if you still want to select them, you can hold down the option key to force your targeting computer to include fighters and escorts.
