How long did it take to create EV Nova?

Last Updated Sep 13, 2005

The original EV engine took approximately 13 months from conception to release. EV Override took about 15 months of work, and then an additional 9 months of testing, to go from initial idea to version 1.0.0. Nova started as an ATMOS plugin for EVO around July of 1998. In July of 2000, Ambrosia signed ATMOS on to convert the Nova plugin into the scenario for EV3. EV Nova entered beta testing on July 15, 2001. So it took approximately two years of pre-EV3 development, and 12 months until it was ready for beta-testing, and then around another 8 months of testing until it was released.
