The best place to go for game play hints is the Ambrosia Web Board.
Once there, select the EV Nova discussion board. If you register for the web board, and why not, it is free! you can post your question, where it will be read and soon answered, by other players and fans. Or, you can scroll through questions and answers already posted. The boards are also searchable, so if you are interested in something particular, you can look it up!
