If I host a game, can I kick players out if they misbehave?

You can boot a player, but not in a race.  When you are in the lobby, select Host Controls...and select Kick Player...and select the problem child.  They will not be able to join any of your races until you re-host.  To keep races between friends only, you can set a password for others to join.
