Follow these steps to uninstall or remove Snapz Pro X from your Mac.
If you see the registration reminder, click the Trial button on the first screen. You can then run the uninstaller found in the Snapz Pro X folder in your Applications folder.
If you have an older version of Snapz installed, please perform the following:
- Open Accounts in your System Preferences and select your account. Then click on the Login Items tab and remove Snapz if it has been added there.
- Go to the Snapz folder in the Applications folder and double click on Snapz Pro X until it comes on screen with the palette that contains the Screen, Objects, Selection and Movie buttons. Press command-Q to quit out of it. If you can not invoke Snapz, open the Activity Monitor found in your Utilities folder. Look for a process named "Snapz Pro X", select it, and then select "Quit Process".
- Drag the the entire Snapz Pro X folder to the trash.
- Remove the Snapz preference file "com.ambrosiasw.snapz.plist" which is located in the Home/Library/Preferences folder
- Snapz Pro X also places a folder in your Library folder for watermarks. Drag that folder to the trash.
- Lastly, go to System/Library/Extensions and trash the AmbrosiaAudioSupport.kext file. You may be asked for an admin's username and password to verify you have permission to alter the System folder.
