Why is the file size of my movie capture so large?

Video captures consume a lot of disk space and can get very large, very fast. Reducing the dimensions of you capture and reducing your framerate are easy ways to reduce the size for a new capture.

Changing the video compressor and quality settings in the Movie Saving Settings window that appears when you stop your capture can further reduce the file size.
