Why does the audio recorded into Peak with Soundpipe sound too fast or too slow?

Last Updated Nov 15, 2010

Peak works best when the output device and source device are using the same sample rate. We recommend setting them both to be the same as outlined below:

  1. In Peak, choose Audio I/O from the Audio menu and set your output device.
  2. Set which Soundboard input option to use as your source - Soundboard, Soundboard + Default, or Soundboard + Default (2ch).
  3. Use the Audio MIDI Setup utility to set the Format for both the input and output devices to 44.1kHz.
  4. Open Audio MIDI Setup in your Utilities folder.
  5. Choose the device you set as output in Peak and set the format to 44.1kHz
  6. Select the Soundboard input option chosen in step 2 and set the format to 44.1kHz.
