Why does the audio I recorded in GarageBand sound too fast?

GarageBand does not like the Sample Rate for an input device to be less than 44.1kHz. So open WireTap Anywhere and choose the virtual device set in GarageBand and click on Settings. Then set the sample rate to 44.1kHz or higher - or better yet set it to Auto (Recommended).
