Can I split long recordings into separate songs using WireTap Studio?

Last Updated Jul 25, 2008

You can split recordings as they are made by pressing the shift key and clicking on the record button in the controller.

WireTap Studio can also be set to split recordings automatically as they are made based on duration, file size or silence.  For more information on splitting recordings automatically launch WireTap Studio and select WireTap Studio Help from the Help menu.  Open the Index and see the section called "Splitting Recordings Automatically".

Recordings can also be split into separate tracks in the editor after they are made.  Place markers where you want the splits to take place, or use the Editor -> Mark Silence option to mark the silence between songs.  Then use the Editor -> Split Audio option to split the recording on markers.  For more information on splitting recordings in the editor launch WireTap Studio and select WireTap Studio Help from the Help menu.  Open the Index and see the section called "Splitting Recordings in the Editor".   For more information on using markers launch WireTap Studio and select WireTap Studio Help from the Help menu.  Open the Index and see the section called "Using Markers".
